September....

You were another busy month. Lots of busy days and more bloody illnesses 🤦, it feels like my summer has been illness, followed by illness.

Attended a great wedding, looked a vibe. Did a fast parkrun, Rode home from Kenilworth on a Saturday. Then raced a hill climb Sunday and got ill. Supported Emma on Swindon half. Walked the puggies, annoyed Sonic. Saw some awesome shitboxes. And bought a camera rig for a project.

September out ✌️.

That's it. I'm calling my first TT season. With only a couple of races left and none I can really bother to do I'm saying I'm done for the year. For someone that doesn't really train, train for things as I find it quite demoralising, I've put in an absolute shift.

I set myself a target of achieving a 24:30 ideally at Latton U48.
With Latton road surface being worse than ever. I started with a few early season at Newbury and ended spending alot of time between the 2 locations. Raced my first 25 thanks to Hadyn pushing me into it. Setting a respectable 1:04:49, doing so with a touch of heat stroke and an issue with my glute. Which ended up meaning Emma had to dress me in a carpark in Theale.

I completed the Latton Spring Handicap series placing joint first* (I am the only 1 who has done more rounds overall and PB'd each one so I'm calling it a win)

A few road bike wins in the Newbury races - 1 X 10mile / 1 X 25mile / 1 X 15mile / 2 x 3rd place & 7 PB's

Newbury Road club - H10/3a - 26:51 3rd RB

Newbury Road Club - H10/3r - 26:15 3rd RB

Latton U48 Handicap series - 30:40

Latton U48 Handicap series - 30:08

Newbury velo H15/3 - 37:09 - PB & RB win

Newbury road Club Open H25/1 - 1:04:49 - PB

Latton U48 Handicap series - 29:22

Latton U48 Handicap series - 25:22 equal PB (2025)

Newbury Velo TT - H10/3R - 23:59 PB & RB Win

Newbury Road Club H25/3E - 1:03:03 PB & RB Win

Latton U48 - 24:55 Latton PB

Latton U48 - 24:40 Latton PB

All in a great effort and season.

A four-day birthday getaway for Emma in Snowdonia. Equal parts bike riding, sightseeing, and snack stops. Ticked off 2 bucket-list spots at St Cwyfan’s Church and Llanddwyn Lighthouse, topped off with a ride up Pen y Pass for some classic views of Snowdon. Would I recommend it as a spot to go riding, road surface perfect, however drivers were absolute peak level bellends. If anyone finds my legs, please post them back to me getting spat by Emma up climbs wasn't fun 😭

My first bikepacking trip is in the books. 🏕️🚴‍♀️

We rode 150 miles over three days, starting in Salisbury, heading out on day one towards Tarrant Monkton for the first night. On the way, we called into the @girlsthatridebikes festival, which looked absolutely incredible - such a brilliant atmosphere and so inspiring to see so many women coming together with one shared hobby 🫶🏻.

Day two took us down to the coastline at Lulworth Cove, with sea views and fresh coastal air before spending the second night in Gussage All Saints.

We finished the final day by riding back into Salisbury via the New Forest, where we were lucky enough to spot donkeys and ponies along the way - the perfect end to the trip. 🫏🐴

I was probably most nervous about fitting everything onto my XS bike, but my setup couldn’t have worked better. The @topeak Zi:RAK Essential rear rack and bag didn’t budge all weekend and I’d absolutely recommend it. I also squeezed on a Rhinowalk frame bag and treated myself to a @tailfincycling top tube bag, which was worth every penny (and I’m sure I will invest in more of their kit in the future!).

Both of our stays, curated by @theklub.world, were perfect. Peaceful, bike-friendly, and with exactly the kind of hearty pub food you want after a long day in the saddle. 🤍

A huge thank you to all the girls for organising everything! I just turned up and pedalled! 😂 Already looking forward to the next adventure✌🏻.

Postcards from a weekend of hotel to hotel bikepacking across Wiltshire and Dorset, with the best company.

We wanted holiday vibes, so we opted for countryside pub hotels over camping, and we planned a relaxed (but pretty lumpy) 150 miles over 3 days of cycling, with plenty of cafe stops.

You know you’re in for a treat when you plan a trip with @theklub.world co-founder Alice, who curated the hotels.

One of those mini adventures that makes you immediately want to go on another one.
