For those of you who know me irl, this isn’t about me. I still live with my mom Alhamdulillah. 😌

The point of this piece is for us to realize how much we take our mothers for granted. The love we get from our mothers is truly indescribable. And because of how accustomed we grow to a mothers love (or anyone dear to us), over time we fail to acknowledge just how big a void can takes it’s place.

So before it’s too late, learn to cherish your mothers love and drown yourself in it, before a drought suddenly strikes, leaving you in a land of regret and longing.

If you think it’s already too late, no it’s not! There’s always time to call your mother, surprise-visit her, send her gifts, have dinner together. Anything!

If she has passed (May Allah forgive her and grant her the highest place in Jannah!) continue to pray for her. The Prophet ﷺ said: “When a man dies all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity (sadaqah jaariyah), beneficial knowledge and a righteous son who will pray for him. “ Be that righteous son/daughter! ✨💛
