Geez first season of actual karting not just leisure. @thebukc was tough and a great learning curve helping me to move forward on improving my racecraft and pace. Had a Test session to get my licence and all went well and was able to get to grips with the kart. And showed what pace I had coming into the season ahead.

Round 1: @buckmorepark , First race in BUKC and of course its a wet one. Never been in these conditions before and it showed. Stating 26th I dropped down to last after getting too greedy with the throttle but managed to put in a good rest of race to bring it back to 25th so even though it started bad gained a position but it really showed me how to drive in the wet and will be valuable whenever another wet race happens.

Round 2: @wardenlaw_karting , absolutely lovely track. A resurface was the cherry on top. Was a really good weekend got to p12 but dropped to 13th. Had a decent start but as the race moved I couldn't find time where others were. Lost a position on the last lap but some good fights.

Round 3: @llandowcircuit , by far my best and most boring round. Qualified 6th and was very happy showing great pace on a track nobody had been on with these karts (Excluding Club100 Drivers) but in the race into the first corners was pushed onto the grass. Was a lonely race and ended up P11 just one place off my goal and if I had kept it cool and knuckled down I could have got it. But again was another case of good quali but not improving in race.

Round 4: @silverstonecircuit , wasnt great wasnt bad. I think i ended up p15 but wasn't a great race being stuck in the mid pack and changing places the whole time I had dropped to 21st but ended 17th on track and 15th after pens. 10/10 track. Wasn't with derby this round but gial was the same to improve.

Many thanks to All the lads who raced with me for derby made the year a million times better. Derby As were fantastic getting wins and crazy how Derby B went from reserve to top 20.

And also sorry @kip.morgan04 I couldn't find a pic of u racing but trust he looks cold.

Overall Great first season surprised to have the pace I showed. Goals the same P10!!!!

BUKC Inters Round 2 - Karting North East
It was an amazing day with lots of close racing and a very fun but physically exhausting track to race at. With it being only my second race in these karts and competing against some much more experienced drivers, I am proud of my results from the day and left with a good amount of points.

Qualifying: 23rd
Not the best qualifying with lots of traffic with 36 karts on track at the same time and not being able to get clean air until my last lap. I qualified 23rd knowing I still had more pace than I showed.

Best lap: 1:06.678

Race: 23rd - 17th
I started in 23rd position. After an amazing start I made it up to 14th on lap 1 and battled with 15th and 16th for most of the race. A few laps from the end, I slowly lost positions to faster drivers to finish 18th on track. After post-race penalties, I finished in 17th.

Best Lap: 1:06.271

Also well done to my teammates @ewan_parnell_racing @_fdracing03 @gingekarting for their solid results and bringing home good points for the team, putting us 14th in the championship.

Wow. Buckmore first time at such a technical track. And to top it off had rain in qualfying and eventually drying on race. First time ever in these conditions. Started P28. Sadly spun dropped down to last but gained 10 places to recover to finish p26. Great experience and learning curve. Whole team did amazing and cant wait for my next chance to get in these karts. Many thanks @uod_motorsportsociety

2026 BUKC Round 1 @buckmorepark ✅

This was my 2nd time racing at Buckmore Park. The track was hit with light showers throughout the morning, meaning we had reduced grip for our practice/qualifying session.

In the end, I was able to secure a P11 start, which is my best starting position yet.

Race start didn't go as planned as I dropped down to P13 on the opening lap. Once I got back up to pace, I found myself in P10 until a group of faster drivers pushed me down to P12 before a red flag was shown and the race was stopped early.

During the race, I held the fastest 3rd sector until near the end

Overall, I'm very happy with the result and pace that I showed and hope to improve throughout the season

BUKC Qualifiers 🛶🌊

First Event as Captain - first win of the year - P2 Overall ‼️

Had a mega race in appalling conditions, race long battle with Hertfordshire A. Photo finish at the end!

Also came away with Fastest lap of the day in both Quali and the Races.

Congrats to my teammates in Derby A for our first and hopefully not last podium of this season. All drove incredibly.

Unlucky to Derby B who had some tough luck despite some strong pace - they will come back stronger.

Looking forward to Buckmore in Jan!

Cheers for the mega photos @chappersmedia 📸
And to Club100 and BUKC for running the event despite the shocking weather.

BUKC qualifiers at Whilton Mill with @universityofderbymotorsport

Results:
Q: P2
R: P7
Team overall: P3 (Qualified for prems)

Great first event with the Team for BUKC qualifiers, big drives from Ben, Will and Thor put us on the podium overall on the Sunday and qualified for the top class next year. Unfortunately my own race didn’t quite go to plan but excited to race for the team next year and see what we can do. Congrats also to the B team for making Inters and the C team who fought hard in tough conditions. Roll on PFI…
