How stunning is the poolside in Bali. Has me daydreaming of when we were just kids travelling around Bali. Cannot wait to be able to travel internally again.

In case you were wondering, this is Villa Bella Canggu. Photo by @justravelynn and via @villabellacanggu

A little about us...

Luke is a keen fisherman. He was born in Papua New Guinea and then grew up on a remote island in the NT called Groote Eylandt. He attended boarding school at Southport, before boarding at Townsville Grammar. After school he moved to Tasmania where he was accepted into the Maritime College. He then moved back to Townsville to complete his trade at Woodfields Engineering. After completion, he started working at sea, combining his maritime training and fitter and turner trade to work on dredging vessels all around the world. When Luke isn’t working you will find him fishing!! He love spearfishing, free diving and anything to do with water.

I am Jenna and I am a primary school teacher. I grew up in Townsville. My true passion I would have to say is dance! I started dancing at Ann Roberts when I was 4. I did mainly ballet, contemporary and jazz throughout my schooling. I danced with Extensions Youth Dance Company, finished my RAD Advanced 2 and my FATD JAZZ Bar To Gold. In Year 12 I won the North Queensland Ballet Bursary and it was only when this judge told me I should peruse dance, that I decided what I would do after school. I moved to Brisbane and studies at QUT completing a BFA majoring in Ballet and Contemporary Dance. At this point I had had the opportunity to perform nationally and internationally, though already had had 3 surgeries due to dance related injuries. When I found out I needed another ankle reconstruction, I decided it was time to move home and be with Luke. I completed my Bachelor of Education and started teaching at Grammar where I have taught in the classroom and now teach Drama. I am extremely fortunate that in my 12 years at Grammar I have also got to teach dance and still get to enjoy this passion in another way now.

This is our very first build! We met in Grade 8. I actually hyperventilated the first time Luke spoke to me in SOSE class and had to be sent to sisters for ventolin. We were amazing friends through school. Started doing long distance. Moved back. Bought a house. Got married. Had kids. Sold our 1st home and now building the dream

Powder room plans - very excited about this little space! Usually play it quite safe with a neutral pallet, so I can’t wait to use some colour in the powder room. So when hubby said he only cared about the shed we locked in the pink powder room😝💗🌸 Fielder girls taking over the #fielderfamilyabode

Our little family. Just wanted to introduce ourselves to those of you who have started following our building journey. When we started this Instagram it was purely to keep all our ideas in one place and to document our journey, though we feel so grateful for the building community we have become a part of and the advice and people we have met already through this Instagram. I am a teacher who loves all things arts related. I did a bachelor of fine arts majoring in dance and am currently teaching Drama. Luke is a Fitter who has an addiction to spear fishing 😜 We met in school and have been together ever since. We have two adorable girls who are our world. Very excited to be designing and building for the first time. Looking forward to the wild ride and hopefully sharing the ups and downs with you.

Unfortunately, I am not the biggest green thumb... Hubby is all over the gardens, though works away. So our gardens tend to flourish then struggle haha. I doooo love plants in pots so much though, and am determined to try keep some beauties similar to this alive!! Time will tell
