Art is being created right before our eyes at all times. I hold this session close to my heart for that very reason. It was confirmation of that.

I love the first photo because I found symbolism in the tree. I felt that this tree was symbolic of Miah and Kaje’s relationship. Miah and Kaje felt like two extensions of the same soul to me. They may grow at their own rates, but they are bound by their roots — roots of kindness, love, and sincerity.

I love the last photo because it was when I had the epiphany that art is being created at all times. God painted the sky with a palette of yellows, oranges, blues, and purples that evening. Miah and Kaje were running about freely, yet in unison with the movements of the ocean. As they were running about, an airplane’s flight path aligned just between them. We can assume that this airplane was taking its passengers to a new destination to experience, or maybe even back home. It was all beautiful, it was all symbolic, it was all art.

Art is always being created. There is so much symbolism in front of our eyes that can be found if we look close enough. I always pray to see it and produce my own art from it. Creating connects me to the One who created it all. He’s the greatest artist. I create because of Him. And I’m so grateful.
