Ball Handling & Passing to finishing w Franny:

👉🏽 Emphasizing the bump finish with the nudge coming from the SHOULDER … NOT the forearm or hand extending (push off - offensive foul + TO)

👉🏽 The shoulder bump makes it look like incidental contact, decelerate to the foot and smooth finish

Franny Sofia @_franny27 is the kind of player every coach wants on the floor. A tough, skilled guard with a high basketball IQ, she consistently creates space with polished footwork and creative shot making. Her accuracy from the perimeter makes her a constant scoring threat, and her ability to generate separation keeps defenders on their heels. Franny plays with confidence, composure, and a competitive edge that allows her to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

Sometimes you can try your absolute best and still not get what you hoped for. But that’s okay, because at the end of the day, growth was still accomplished.

You guys got further than any O’Connor team since the Open format was introduced. Not to mention, you had one of the best records in program history.

You need these kind of setbacks to propel you to the next level individually and to be better as a leader for your next season/next team.

@audreybhesania like we talked about, this experience will serve you the most with your ability to maintain that edge/passion/dawg from start to finish … not just the finish. This way, everyone knows where you stand and what you’re about from day 1 … WINNING!

@_franny27 for you, this was about playing meaningful basketball deep into the playoffs. Learning how to play under the pressure of the moment and against equally talented opponents. How to adjust your game around better players while still staying true to what makes you special.

I’m PROUD of BOTH of you, and look forward to continuing this journey together. Though you’re no longer on the same team, the mission is the same … how can you be that much better; athletically, mentally, emotionally, skillfully and intelligently than the last game.
