#kunstflaneur #jongtalent #hedendaagsekunst #maximebrigou #belgischekunstenaar

🌱 Artwork of the Month. Last year we participated with the WITBOEK project, curated by @brunodevos of @hopperandfuchs & @frederik_vergaert of @_fredferry_ gallery. Core concept: fifty artists transform fifty empty white paged books into ‘book-objects’. With f&r r&f we made a series of small, associative drawings where dreams, alter egos, fragments of our shared mythology, and various associations came together. No single story - part archive, part playground. 📖

This amazing project is still running, as the WITBOEKS keep on traveling the world.

In the meantime we, and many other artists, are working on SWAN SONGS, the final exhibition at Fred&Ferry gallery. SWAN SONGS will open on 13th of September and will run till the 13th of december. As per 1 January 2027 the gallery will stop it’s activities and seize to exist. We loved the collaboration during the last couple of years and therefore we would like to thank everyone involved ❤️

Heel welkom!

Throwback to last summer, exhibitions featuring the “Time To Tech Up” dress @aoon.exhibition @mqwien @_fredferry_ especially happy to see the dress and the portrait panels shown together. The pieces are created 100% manually in design and textile. The ASCII design is algorithm inspired but no code was involved, just abstraction, imagination and love for detail. A pixel there or not can totally change facial expression.

🇬🇧 Anne Van Boxelaere: the search for the humanity behind the system — Until 11 July, @_FREDFERRY_ in Antwerp presents the solo exhibition ‘Radiant City’ by Anne Van Boxelaere, featuring a selection of recent works from her ongoing "Agreement" series. In her practice, the Belgian artist explores the structures and invisible agreements that shape our everyday lives. The title of the exhibition refers to Le Corbusier's Ville Radieuse, a utopian urban planning concept from 1930. Van Boxelaere uses it as a point of departure for an exploration of the tension between human freedom and the systems that increasingly organise our lives.
