We followed @oakydokyocfc to the @detroitcityfootballclub Mascot Block Party yesterday afternoon! 😁

It was great seeing Oaky in his element with a bunch of new friends. We saw some our very own as well!

Great W, DCFC! 👏

Your rehab stops too early.

Pain goes down… mobility comes back…
but you’re still missing what actually matters for sport.

If you want to truly return to play at a high level, you need these 3:

1️⃣ Propulsion
This is your ability to produce force and push off.
Sprint. Jump. Accelerate.
If this isn’t rebuilt → you’ll feel slow, weak, and hesitant.

2️⃣ Curvilinear Movement
Sport isn’t straight lines.
You need to cut, arc, and move fluidly at angles.
This is where most ankle sprains happen again if it’s ignored.

3️⃣ Deceleration
Can you absorb force and control your body when slowing down?
Landing, cutting, stopping.
If you can’t decelerate → you can’t safely accelerate.

Most people get cleared.. but never spend time training and adapting here.

That’s why you feel “good”…
until the game speeds up

Return to sport isn’t time-based. It’s capacity-based.

Back on the pitch and ready to GO 💨

After an injury kept him sidelined last season, Gabe Gjokaj returns to OCFC healthy and ready to make his mark. The Oakland University midfielder is a crafty presence on the ball, dangerous running at defenders, and knows how to finish when his moment comes.

A strong presence through the middle with the ability to burst forward at speed, Gabe brings plenty of upside to the squad.

Welcome back, Gabe! 💪

Pending league and federation approval.
