Who would’ve known a kid who was pushing 160lbs who was a sprinter and joined track for the first time in 7th grade would’ve been a Conf 4x1 champ to becoming a distance runner freshman yr to Sr yr going sub 10 and medaling at state by himself. Post season started off strong this year with winning conference 32 and 16 but Districts we had some problems but we still quald for the 32 and seeded 9th and ended up getting 7th with 9:50.67. Never thought I would run this and be this fit coming into freshman yr I was with sliders so I had to become a lil slider ran 4x8 at state with Sr’s. Then I had to grab the bull by horns. None of this wouldn’t have been possible without my coaches the past 4 years, my mom with her driving hours on hours to watch me run around 53 secs to 10 minutes. There is one guy though who made this all possible, the lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you SE track for all the memories and the friends I’ve made throughout the years. High school career finally over 🫡

Moments I’ll never forget.
First and foremost, all Glory to God. Through every high and low, every doubt, every setback, and every breakthrough, He stayed faithful to me. My faith carried me farther than I ever thought possible.
Thank you to my coaches for pushing me to be great, believing in me, and helping shape me into the person and athlete I’ve become. Thank you to my teammates, family, and everyone who supported me through every mile, workout, and race. None of this happens alone.
This sport gave me discipline, memories, brotherhood, and moments I’ll carry for the rest of my life. I gave everything I had these last four years, and I can truly say I left it all on the track.
Finished my senior year with a full heart and nothing left in the tank.
Thank you for everything. ✌️

Another great day at the Iowa State Track & Field Championships. We saw athletes battle through tough competition, chase big goals, and create lasting memories.
