I’m thrilled to be involved with such a fun musical. I’m a Scottish performer who loves a passion project, and I can’t wait to hear the final outcome!

Gene Angelo Nucal (he/him, b.2003) is a Filipino-American composer, conductor, and multi-instrumentalist from Dallas, Texas. He is an alumnus of the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas, where he began his composition studies with Emmy Award-winning composer Jasmine Arielle Barnes. Nucal later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music: Music Composition from Centenary College of
Louisiana (2025) under the tutelage of American Prize-winning composer Dr. James Eakin III.

While at Centenary, he studied choral and orchestral conducting under Dr. David Hobson, voice under Baritone Steve Valenzuela, and opera/musical theatre performance under Vocal Pedagogue Dr. Briana Sosenheimer. Nucal’s performance experience spans cello, viola, piano, harp,
percussion, and recorder, as well as choral, opera, and musical theatre singing. Nucal continues to write & perform music of both classical & popular genres, and he teaches private lessons for piano & strings in Dallas.

Anissa Perona (she/her) is a Boston-based performer and educator. She is on voice faculty at several institutions in the metro Boston area and has performed at notable venues in both Boston and NYC including the Napoleon Room at Club Cafe (Boston), The Green Room 42 (NYC), and Feinstein’s/54 Below (NYC). She is also an audiobook narrator. She is so excited to be a part of this project!

Conlin Rei is a Voice Actor and Singer of a multi-racial background (Malaysian/French descent mostly). Studying Speech-Level singing and graduating with a degree in musical theatre in 2022. In addition to Fatebound the Musical, you can find some of Conlin’s other Voice Work available on Crunchy

My second year of college feels like a whole separate little life.❣️
This year, I changed my hair color three times, visited three new states, and met incredible friends. Saying goodbye to some of them has been really hard, because every meeting is full of memories. I was lucky to spend so much time working on beautiful theatre productions, and to dive deeper into my second major in Communications.
There was a lot of stress - honestly, it wasn’t an easy year. But like I said, it truly feels like a small, separate life, and I’m deeply grateful for it. I’m officially at the halfway point before graduation now.🤠

Sorry for catching up on this late, but it’s been such a joy having you here this semester. Thank you for sharing your cultures, energy, and amazing personalities with us. You’ve made this place brighter and more special.

We’ll miss you so much but can’t wait to see where life takes you next.

And while we say goodbye for now, we’re already getting ready to welcome the next group of exchange students this fall.
