After happening to go to the Portland Highland Games in June I knew I had to try this sport out. In August I found out about the Pioneer Highland Games and signed up. 5 out of the 9 events I had never tired before until I competed last weekend. I was fortunate enough to Place 3rd in Men’s open B class. I’m happy to have found a new addiction. It also feels so good to do something that brings me back to my heritage.

This was my first time tossing the caber. I think it is my favorite event by far.

Weight over bar is tough. I need to get more explosive with one hand.

My love.💜

I was able to practice this one quite a bit before.

Just because we do something a lot, doesn’t mean we’re good at it. But on Saturday, we were the best at it 🏆

Despite the weather, The Ladd’s 5th Annual Beer Die Tournament was executed to perfection. I want to take a moment to thank everybody for coming out last weekend. It is such a humbling experience being able to bring 100 friends and family members together for an afternoon of excitement and competition. Once is a party, three times is an event, and five times is a tradition - thank you all for being part of the tradition, love y’all🙏

✨After 14 years of raving, I’m not afraid to miss out on anything. What used to feel important just isn’t anymore.

Now, at 32 years old and 5 years sober, here’s what really matters to me.

✅ Save this for your next fest ✨

You were a whole love story packed into one little weekend. With #linetronics you could sense the frustration and worry. And yet by day 2 all that melted away. This community continued to practice patience and kindness in a way that awed me.
And I’m so grateful to have experienced this with some of the best people I know. Every one of you showed up as your best self and I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be stuck in line with or to dance our hearts out with.
I have no more words for how special last weekend was, just pure indescribable love. 💜💜💜

Trynna catch me ridin’ 30 🤠
Spent the last few weeks of my 20’s drinking far too many mojitos, soju, and Singha’s in Vietnam and Thailand, then line danced my way into my 30’s.
So grateful for being able to celebrate my birthday for what felt like a whole month with all my favorite people 🫶
