Jake, who leads some of the most celebrated restaurants in Brisbane and beyond, shared real insights on hospitality careers and the role chefs play in reducing food waste. 🍎

To show that great food can come from imperfect ingredients, Jake and the students whipped up a pain perdu - a delicious, versatile and a crowd-pleaser that gives wasty items their moment to shine.

In the lead up to CEO CookOff Brisbane next week, we’re so grateful to have chefs like Jake championing food rescue and inspiring the next generation to cook with purpose. 💛

A slice of Amalfi is landing in Everton Park 🍕

Alfi Eatery & Bar opens at Park Lane, Everton Plaza, this Thursday 22 October from 12pm. It's from Ghanem Group, the team behind Blackbird and Donna Chang, and it's their first suburban Brisbane venue.

- Family-style Italian: woodfired pizza, pasta and pub classics like the chicken parmigiana
- About 800 sqm, making it Everton Plaza's largest venue, with seats for 350
- A 200-seat al fresco courtyard
- Amalfi Coast-inspired fit-out: light timber, Italian stone and pastel tones

A luxurious evening spent last night at Blackbird Melbourne, celebrating their 1st anniversary 🐦‍⬛

Absolutely amazed at what was hiding in the building, with all the different levels and spaces. A stunning place to go for dinner or host an event. (Pictured is the private floor and rooms)

A big thank you and well done to Emily and the team from Blackbird and Alex from Confetti Society for pulling off a lovely and relaxing evening filled with absolutely delicious food, drinks and good company. And a big thank you for trusting us with the stationery and signage for the night.

Where are my Brisbane locals who remember Sunday sessions at The Fox? 🙋🏻‍♀️

A new chapter for one of South Brisbane’s most recognisable venues, and there’s plenty to explore at @hotelterminus.

But The Fox lives on up on the rooftop with a fresh, playful take on cocktail bar dining. The menu is built for grazing, comprised of creative snacky plates to share as you sip. Standouts were the tender charred octopus skewers with romesco sauce, wagyu skirt skewers with nam jim jaew, and the lobster hot dog topped with guacamole, pico de gallo and jalapeños.

But the rooftop is only part of the story. One floor down, The Vixen Room shifts the mood completely. An intimate late-night cocktail lounge with an intriguing menu of inventive cocktails utilising some seriously crafty techniques.

new roof top bar in southbank: fox rooftop at @hotelterminus 🦊🍸

this stunning new rooftop bar is now open in south bank! it’s such a great spot to grab a drink and a few nibbles. it wraps around almost the entire building, so there’s plenty of seating and gorg views no matter where you sit. definitely a great new addition to brisbane’s bar scene! | kindly gifted
