Lev Olekson (any/all) is a neurodiverse and disabled twospirit artist who hails from the Flying Dust and Michel First Nations.

Lev moved a lot in their youth, but they spent a lot of time in Chitek Lake, ᒐᐦᒐᐦᑭᐤ ᓵᑲᐦᐃᑲᓂᕽ, and ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᕽ (Edmonton). Even though they may live in Edmonton now, Chitek Lake and her forests is where their heart stays.

It was hard for Lev’s family to be altogether, but each of them are artists in their own ways. Lev’s love for them fuels their creative fire and through their creations, binds them all together.

Lev adores nature and all the animals within it. It is their lifelong dream to one day
own a property that can provide a home to animals in need.

Lev is the proud parent to three divas, Church (Calico), DaBaby (Tuxedo), and Tsuki (Nebelung). Dozer (Bull Terrier) was a beloved member of the family for almost 11 years.🖤

FUN FACTS ⚡️

Lev loves music, their favourite artists are Grim Salvo, King 810, and Gorillaz.

They also love to cosplay and dance. Lev has been cosplaying since 2011, and has been dancing since 2016! They are currently a part of two cosplay dance groups, @ab.wisteria and @zombeebz.official!

Alongside Caine, @rotp4w, Lev is one of the co-founders of @rot.n.revelry!

lil cheesy moment incoming. . .

Thank you all for reading this and for all the support that has been shown to me thus far. Growing up in a split family makes it hard to focus on anything other than survival, and it made it hard for me to believe in myself. I have always created things, but I never thought myself to be an artist. There were, and are, a lot of things that I thought I would never be able to do. But every day changes that for me, and I wouldn’t be able to that without the support and love from everyone so far. So thank you all so so very much, and I can’t wait to see what else we all do together ❣️

The Campus Queer Prom on Friday the 13th was a vibe. 💜

I also learned that I need to be more aware of where I stand when photographing 🤣

ᑕᐣᓯ ᑲᑭᐦᔭᐤ! Meet Leviathan Olekson (any/all). Than is Vice President External and a Nehiyaw-Otipemiskiwak student who studies English and Classics. Their academic interests are focussed on the intersectionalities of Native American Indigenous Peoples and the Indigenous Peoples of the Ancient World.
Favourite hobby is bedrotting. Second favourite hobby is anarchism.

“As emboldened scholars from previously shunned minorities (Queer people, People of Colour, Disabled people, and others) enter the field, fresh perspectives are introduced as challenges to the previously rigid understandings of History and Classics. As a clockable Queer, reconnecting Native, and disabled student; I believe it is important to throw my voice into the mix of it all.”
