I don’t think I’ve ever summered so hard that I needed two summer posts. Or I’ve just been really lazy posting.

This birthday felt very adult in that I had to make some hard decisions, like leaving a job that wasn’t aligning with what I wanted to do or knowing when to leave a Korean BBQ place and head over to the Twin Peaks next door. But because I’ve managed to surround myself with wonderful people who were down to go to a breastaurant, fly from NC to visit me, and be a part in my life-long dream of being a competition TV series host, it really made for one of the best birthday weeks I’ve ever had. Thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, it always means more than y’all know, especially this year.

Much to be grateful for this season, especially our first responders who serve and protect daily so we can enjoy the peace of the holidays with our families and friends.

With the help of the Lake Travis women’s basketball team, we distributed Thanksgiving treats and handwritten cards to stations around Austin to express our gratitude. Thank you to our police, fire, and EMS for all that you do for our community!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Over the past couple of years, CTPSC has expanded its reach to include more public safety departments across Central Texas, furthering our mission and supporting more first responders who keep our communities safe.

One of our most recent partnerships is with UTPD. Earlier this week, we met with Chief Streepy, UT Student Government, and the Dean of Students to discuss how we can collaborate to build meaningful relationships with campus and better serve our student population. The University of Texas students are an integral part of Austin’s culture and their safety is a top priority.

Thank you UTPD for all that you do to keep campus safe! Hook ‘em!

Cheers to the best summer of my life ✨
This summer I saw almost every sunrise and sunset, and all the flowers seemed to bloom in my direction. It was the summer of food, spontaneity, and friendship. I can only hope the fall is just as kind and gentle.
Cheers to the summer I learned how to dance. 🌻

This year, members of our board participated alongside Austin firefighters in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. It was a time to reflect on the sacrifices made that day and remember the dedication of our first responders who serve our communities every day.

Thank you to first responders everywhere. We salute your bravery and strength.

Austin’s dance floors will feel a little lonelier without you, but adventure is calling, and I’m so excited for you to chase it! Love you, lady! @molly.roy
