Today we are celebrating the 2 Year Anniversary of I Love Ancestry. Yes 2 years already!!! We want to thank you all for your continued support and for following us on this incredible journey of discovery. Your messages of support have been an important part of what kept us pushing forward, developing our campaign into new grounds. What was the motivation to create I Love Ancestry? Adrien's motivation to create the I Love Ancestry campaign was to honor the memory of his father Charles W. Heckstall Jr. (1929 - 2000) and to make sure that his two young sons become well aware of the historical truth that is often, if not always disregarded in school history books about the foundation of the United States of America, a country built on stolen land by stolen people. "Raising my sons as compassionate human beings is paramount. They must begin to understand the nature of the struggle of the first people of this land and all marginalized people in a country founded on the profit of racism." What is our impact? Our Facebook fan page reaches close to half a million people every month with over 33,000 fans. Our YouTube channel reaches over 100,000 views every month with over 4,000 subscribers and we are proud to announce that we have reached our first One Million views. Our website reaches over 8,000 unique visitors per month. Our social media presence on Instagram, Tumblr, and Twitter is on the rise at a steady pace. The I Love Ancestry campaign hope to continue to bring through their website and social media networks a better understanding of the hidden or neglected history and culture of Native American Indians and Black Americans with their historical alliances and how the blend of these two beautiful cultures is represented in America today. #iloveancestry #roots #ancestors #native #blackindian #blackindians #biracial #multiracial #afronative #africanamerican #afronativeamerican #socialjustice #ancestry #culturaldiversity #blackisbeautiful #indiancountry #indigenous #nativeamerican #blackhistory #nativehistory
