Words cannot explain how full my heart is. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being a part of Los Portales, choreographed by @xloco.motion 🫶🏼 I am so so happy I got to represent parts of my culture through dance, an art form I deeply love. I’m very grateful to have danced and bonded with such lovely artists @_gumyb @zoebcarter @itsmarggie @indya.amari. This has truly been an unforgettable journey that I will always treasure.

Signing off as the alebrije 🦁🫧🧚🏽

You are cordially invited to the live performance of “los portales” on AUGUST 28 + 29, 2026, presented @highwaysps ✨🙏🏽🎭💃🏽

“los portales” is a performance work choreographed by Xochitl Loco in collaboration with “SER” Migratory Artist Collective of multi-disciplinary, intergenerational artists. “los portales” is filled with magical realism, exploring access and queer visibility. A love letter to L.A., “los portales” reflects on lifecycles, becoming, and belonging through thoughtful memorialization and the reclaiming of rites of passage. Voyaging through shifting planes, “los portales” navigates the familiar and unknown using prop manipulation, voice distortion, a surprise dance and Mexican line dancing.

See you at the rodeo✨🤠✨
