Wearing my “To Gaza” tee & “Ministry of Matriarchy” sweater from @_selfsovereignty 🍉

For every ‘To Gaza’ and ‘Ceasefire’ tee sold, $10 USD goes to @_hand_n_hand_, a grassroots campaign helping families on the ground in Gaza right now with direct aid. When you wear it, you carry the message and fund real people.

📢 This Saturday, 10 October, people around the world are marching for Palestine as part of a Global Day of Action. They are calling for an arms embargo, sanctions, and an end to the genocide in Gaza.

During the famine, we cooked whatever food we had and went out to distribute it to the hungry, while shells rained down all around us.

The hardest thing to witness was the crowds swarming around meals that weren't enough for everyone. Many returned as hungry as they had come.

But what remained most etched in my heart were the children of Gaza.

Despite their hunger, they stood before the camera, singing for their homeland, sending messages to their imprisoned fathers, and pleading with a world that chose silence.

I saw in them indescribable courage… courage that could move mountains.

I wept every time I saw a child ravaged by hunger, while my own children went to bed hungry too. My daughter Zainab would fall asleep crying because she had nothing to eat, and I stood helpless, with nothing to do but pray to God.

More than a thousand days of annihilation… and the world remains silent.

But if anyone ever asks me: How did Gaza endure?

So I will answer: Look at her children
