We are thrilled to announce that the Omnichords Don't Have Strings cast and directing team have received B. Iden Payne Awards nominations! It's an honor to have our very first production recognized by the lovely, vibrant artistic community here in Austin, TX. Congratulations to the other nominees and thank you to @bipawards for giving us such a warm welcome!

First, a public service announcement: If you are on the mailing list for the B. Iden Payne Awards Council, ballots for the 2025-26 nominees have gone out, but may be sitting in your Spam Folder. That's where I found mine.

Second, a big, wet, sloppy thank you: The cast and creative team of YELLOW FACE, produced by @groundfloortheatre earlier this year, are over-the-freaking-moon thrilled and profoundly grateful to the B. Iden Payne Awards Council to have received seven nominations. On the night of announcements, our ongoing group chat, still active and loving and supportive months after the show closed, was a case study in collective hyperventilation. Thanks so very much, and huge congrats to all of this year's nominees! 💛🎭🎉

You’ve seen Yellow Face on stage, but now, see Yellow Face… BEHIND the stage. (Spoiler: it’s a lot of shenanigans)

playing the announcer in “yellow face” was one of the biggest challenges i’ve confronted in theatre (entirely because of how many dates, article titles, and politician names i had to memorize), but i had an absolute blast 💛

That’s a wrap on Yellow Face!

We closed yesterday to a full house and a beautiful sendoff. We are so grateful to everyone who showed up and supported this show.

Lots of gratitude and love to our cast, crew, and creative team for the humor and drive you brought to every day onstage and off.

We’re sharing a few memories, some backstage snapshots courtesy of our cast alongside some lovely cast photos from Lens of Athena Photography. These are some memories we’d like to hold onto a little longer. 🩵

And don’t go far! Our next production, Pueblo Revolt, arrives in May. We’ll see you there.
