What a launch!! 🔊 Both the Propa Sound rig and @nokidding.us label got a proper introduction, and we couldn’t have asked for a better party.

Big up @forge.sheffield & @big_fat_rave for trusting us with this one, all the selectors @specdrumz @rachel_ecoyle @louiseplusone @scritts_ who stepped up, and everyone who packed out the Workroom and kept it bouncing all night long 🫡

Plenty more to come from both of us… starting this weekend 👀

This Friday, @nokidding.us bring the one and only @kidlib to the @sidneyandmatilda basement for a DJ Mindhunter set, alongside @dj.freestyle, an @inbassiveuk takeover and a B3B from the No Kidding residents. Expect hardcore, jungle & jungle techno from 11pm–4am!!

Then on Saturday, Propa Sound take over @abbeydaleballroom from 9pm–3am. Two rooms stacked with local selectors: house & garage in one, drum & bass and jungle in the cocktail bar, powered by the full Propa Sound rig. FREE ENTRY 🔊

It’s a big weekend in Sheff. See ya in the dance 🕺

Out to @_i.hate_this for the after movie ❤️

Stop motion of the magazine

Such a fun and rewarding project to dedicate my final year to. I’ve loved experimenting with typography and print, while immersing myself in the scene and hearing real-life stories first-hand!

This project is a continuation of my previous project, The Underrepresentation of Women in the UK Jungle Scene.
For this magazine, I interviewed six female DJs within the scene. VXRGO, SelectaCee (Sexy Lady Massive), V2E Frequency, Navaeah, Maracuya (Not Bad for a Girl) and Amber. The magazine gives them a platform to share their experiences, highlighting some of the challenges they face as women in the scene, while also celebrating their careers, achievements and contributions to jungle.
The graffiti used throughout the magazine was scanned around Leeds using my portable scanner, bringing the energy and visual language of the scene into the publication.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this project!!
