@samibrielle and I met in Los Angeles last fall. A couple months later, she called me saying she wanted to get out of LA for a bit & write somewhere new. So we decided to spend a month in Sweden writing every day (we took sundays off lol).

thank you everyone, we had the time of our lives! 🫶

An unforgettable week on Ulvön! 🇸🇪🏝️🎶

Last Sunday, we headed to the beautiful Swedish island of Ulvön! After a 40-minute bus ride and an hour on a small, cute boat, we finally arrived on the island. Ulvön is an old fishing island where there are actually more moose than people! 🫎 Around 45 moose and just over 30 residents :)

Since it’s currently off-season, we had the entire hotel to ourselves! There were 18 musicians from all over the world, and we even got our own rooms. The hotel was beautiful and the food was absolutely incredible. We were so spoiled! You could basically eat all day long: breakfast, lunch, Swedish fika (coffee and cake), dinner… and before you knew it, the whole thing started all over again!

On Monday, we kicked off our first songwriting sessions. Every day, we were split into six new groups of three, with the goal of writing one song together each day. I got to work with some incredibly talented people and learned so much along the way! On the very first day, we wrote a song for my own artist project, with a bit of EDM and The Chainsmokers vibes. I already love it! 😍

The next few days continued just like that: new groups, new ideas, new songs. Some nights, we stayed up until the early hours of the morning.

On Thursday evening, we had our big listening session, where we all got together to listen to the 24 songs we’d written over those four days. That was so cool!!

On Friday, it was sadly already time to head back to Örnsköldsvik.

I honestly don’t even know how to put this week into words 😭 People who were complete strangers just a few days ago have become such amazing friends. I’ve learned so much, laughed so much, and made memories I’ll definitely never forget. 💜

Ulvön, I’ll definitely be back! 🫎💜🎶
