What Are You Working On Today?

Every Monday I'm going to tag a different creator, technician, or tradesperson and see what they're working on. The goal is simple: show off the work happening out in the field, share some knowledge, and give everyone a chance to highlight what they do. Jump in with a picture or video, tell us what you're tackling today, and tag someone else to keep it going.

As for me...

I've got a walk-in freezer that took a lightning strike, and the Copeland ZF15 compressor didn't survive. So let's rebuild this HTPG condensing unit.
Today's repair includes:
• New Copeland compressor
• New DTC valve
• New filter drier
• New contactor

Shout out to Blake—you're up, buddy! Let's see what you're working on today.

Who else is turning wrenches today? Drop your photos in the comments and let's fill this thread with what the trades really look like. 👊

Thought trades were for losers? I did too. But helping an electrician revealed freedom, self-reliance, and a path where only hard work stops you. Hands dirty, future bright.

What a way to start the day at the TopLine Pro Event.

Logan Sendle dropped the mic more than once.

His advice on being "the man" or "the woman" in your community was pure gold.

If you own ANY type of Home Service business, he and his team at @bluecollarbusinessaccelerator should be on your radar as a potential business coach.

Thank you to @gettoplinepro for the invite to NYC.

🎙️ HVAC R&D Podcast — Episode 190

The Race to the Face: Winning Customer Trust Before You Arrive with James Hatfield

The customer experience doesn’t begin when you knock on the door.

It begins the moment they reach out for help.

In Episode 190, Rhydon Atzenhoffer sits down with James Hatfield, Chief Revenue Officer of LiveSwitch, to discuss how technology is reshaping the relationship between contractors and customers—and why trust is becoming the industry’s greatest competitive advantage.

Together, they explore how live video communication, remote collaboration, and better customer engagement are helping contractors build confidence, improve efficiency, and deliver a better service experience before the truck even arrives.

This isn’t about replacing technicians or adding complexity. It’s about using technology to strengthen relationships, reduce uncertainty, and create a better experience for everyone involved.

For the TradeCrew, this conversation offers a fresh perspective on where the skilled trades are headed and how contractors can embrace innovation without losing the personal connection that defines great service.

🔧 In this episode, we cover:

• Why customer trust starts before the service call

• The “Race to the Face” and why it matters

• Using live video to improve communication

• Reducing unnecessary truck rolls and delays

• Creating better customer experiences through technology

• Helping technicians collaborate in real time

• Where innovation is taking the skilled trades next

• Why relationships will always outperform transactions

Whether you’re a technician, owner, service manager, or distributor, this episode will challenge you to think differently about trust, technology, and the future of customer service.
