May 9th was a great night for Crimson Violet Productions. The CCRI Film Festival premiered two of our films; Mortal Sensation and Come Clean. Each film took home multiple awards:

Mortal Sensation- Best Cinematography and Best Experimental Feature (Plus honorable mentions for production design and sound)

Come Clean- Best Writing and Best Narrative Feature (Plus honorable mentions for directing and Valentín Salvador’s performance in the best actress category)

Also, in addition to the festival, we released Young Man, our first film to be a complete surprise with no marketing.

We are incredibly proud of our achievements here, and we thank everyone who helped make it possible. Stay tuned for more films very soon.

Before I took my first semester at CCRI, I was not keen on going. I was arrogant, and thought that there was no benefit of going to college when I can learn everything there is to filmmaking from some YouTube videos. But I was convinced to try at least one semester, and I don't regret it.

I've met a lot of people that helped me mature and get out of that childish high school mindset I was stuck in for so long after graduating, and I've made some great memories making these short films.

It's a little disappointing that I'm moving to South Carolina right when things get interesting for me, but I plan to occasionally revisit Rhode Island (mostly to see IMAX movies).

I'm pretty bad at taking pictures while hanging out with people, so there's a couple that I never really got to capture memories with on camera. So here's some more great people: @yaboijuan_ @uno_neonnightmare @cdsmedia107 @parente.elissa

Rep Part 2 in the books!!! Can’t believe I survived an entire summer of Shakespeare, I couldn’t have done it without such an amazing group of people; cast, crew, and all. Until next time! Now onto something bloody wonderful in the fall🧛🍭 #ShakespeareSummer #Coriolanus #CornGratis

Little bit cold
And a little bit alone
But I’m feeling just fine
As I come into my own
And I start to realize
Despite all the things I’ve done
That is not how I’m defined
I exist on people’s love
