THE ABYSS, my choreographic debut !!!! 🪩💜

first and foremost to my team, i know i’ve already drowned you in thankyou’s but it still can’t how grateful i am, so let me do this again. this piece was 10% me and 90% you guys. thankyou for translating this little vision i had into a work of art that i am so proud of. thankyou for giving me your time and energy during this busy time of year, & thankyou for believing in me even when i had no clue what i was doing. i couldn’t imagine a more meaningful, beautiful, talented group of humans to share this first experience with 🫂🫂💝💝
@_imbeola_ @isa.mulholland @ab1bolmat @aishawoon @kyanaheartran @caitlin.kippen @paris.roccaa @angelicalow_ @xaviaaaaa @hayleyytidd

to my darling friends who couldn’t make it to the stage with us but were so supportive of me through this process, i love you guys dearly🫶🏻 @elpida.marko @jessicataing_

and of courseee the biggest thankyou of all, to @lisa.antoinette @thedanceabysss , thankyou for this opportunity! trusting me to uphold the incredibly high standard that The Abyss has brought to the Naarm dance community is not something i take lightly, especially for my debut. this event is a soulful reminder of the talent our city has; all the hard work put in to organising and curating these shows does not go overlooked! 💐💐💐💐
& to the other choreographers, your art was so so so inspiring, it was such a pleasure to share the stage with you all ❤️‍🔥

i could go on forever but i’ll leave it there!
… full of love, inspiration & gratitude,
K <3

Overwhelmed and beyond grateful to my team for being part of my Grounded piece.❤️❤️

I’m truly glad that I joined Grounded this time, and I’m so grateful for this precious opportunity.

@groundedshow @joel.gallarde

To be honest, I feel really frustrated — that I couldn’t lead my team to win, that my own ability wasn’t enough, and that I should’ve thought more about the stage setup as a competition piece.
Still, I’m really glad I challenged myself. This experience made me want to create more pieces, and it also gave me a chance to face my current challenges.
Right now, I haven’t fully processed all these feelings yet, so I’ll take some time to sit with them and cherish what I learned.
Thank you so much and truly, from the bottom of my heart.❤️🍋
