@mainattrakionz, @squaddab, @mondreman - 808's & Dark Grapes II (released in 2011 through @mishkagram, pressed 2012)

One of, if not the first release(s) under the cloud rap genre to gain huge traction, after being a fan of Leaf after I heard Live.Love.A$AP for the first time, I decided to recently take a dive into the Main Attrakionz catalog, which led me to the love I have for cloud rap today.

This album is full of atmospheric and wavy tracks such as one of my favorites 'Perfect Skies' produced by FRIENDZONE, 'Perfect Sounds' produced by @keyboardkid206, and Diamond of God produced by Squadda himself (amazing producer by the way). The album also has high acclaimation from sites like Pitchfork and FADER. It is definitely a must listen if you are ever wanting to dive into the cloud rap genre for the first time, or have never even heard of Main Attrakionz, very great listen front to back.

Shoutout to Squadda B and Dylan of FRIENDZONE, both are great people to interact with, Squadda is a very nice person who made my experience diving into the catalog 10x better, I love having the chance to speak to artists that I look up to directly. Thank you guys a lot! 🙏

The Life’s New Adventure tour cycle lasted a year and a half and consisted of 82 shows across the United States, Mexico, Canada and Europe. Following a month-long residency at downtown LA’s Monty Bar in May ‘24 (which featured sets from Catherine Moan, Donzii, Sunday Mourners and others) Veneer Publications released the Life’s New Adventure single and music video followed by four shows in Europe. San Francisco label Industry Standards picked up the album, originally releasing the A-side as a four song limited cassette followed by the full-length LP release in April of 2025, as well as publishing Blone’s novella Festum Stultorum written during the process of making the record. All copies are sold out. The cycle is complete.
