“I’m interested in people that manage to stand up and thrive in the most malevolent situations in life. I think it’s important to hear these real-life ‘hero’ stories and take some of that resilience and try to apply it to our own day-to-day.” @_instamarc

Even when you’re reviewing hundreds of submissions every month, some work is so powerful it stays with you long after you walk away from the screen. @_instamarc

Creator Marc Eijkelenboom joins us to breakdown his short film, inspired by the life of legendary extreme athlete and author Wim Hof. We discuss the benefits of allowing a slow burn, why he loves compositing so much, and the visibility of mental health in motion design. @_instamarc

“The Iceman is the origin story of Wim Hof. It’s a true hero’s tale of someone losing the person most precious to them and eventually creating something beautiful from the tragedy.” Marc Eijkelenboom joins us to breakdown his thought-provoking project and discuss the importance of mental health. @_instamarc

Continuing our trip in the south of Spain we headed to Marbella to visit my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and nephews! It was so nice to see them again and spend some quality time together. We got to celebrate Kian’s 4th birthday (I cannot believe it’s been four years since he was born!) and enjoy hot days by the pool and chilling on the balcony. Thanks so much for sharing your space with us and making memories together! 💕

Gunna miss these two (and they’re adorable children) when they venture back to Europe in a couple weeks. ✈️ In the meantime we’re checking out new places that have been popping up around Windsor, like @maidenlanewinespirits ! Great drinks and cool atmosphere 🍸 👌🏼

T h e B r i d e & G r o o m 👰🏼 🎩
#thestoryofus.
- Meet at TCH Montessori in 2013
- Both in relationships, became co-worker friends from brief run-ins at the schools.
- A friend from work and I go see him play a show with his band at the time, The Brilliancy.
- Soon after he starts his solo career and we both become single.
- I watch him sing and play acoustic at Anchor Coffee House and can’t deny my ever-growing crush any longer. We hang out after the show, I correct his Springsteen lyrics, and it’s perfect..
- The chemistry is obvious and at a work friends’ bday party we have our first kiss. - Our first dates include: the movies, the Detroit Institute of Art, Anchor Coffee House, Menchies. These are still some of our favourite date spots 📽🎨☕️🍨
- By late winter/early spring (2015) we become ‘official’
- In November of that year we head out to Europe and visit Holland, France, Germany, and Malta -> meeting his newborn nephew, sister, and brother in law..
- We were jet lagged, I spent a week with ppl who were strangers the day before, in Paris he got hand foot and mouth disease, we missed an important non-refundable train AND we didn’t fight once. If you can travel with someone and not kill them, marry them.
- Fast-forward to March 2017. We travel to visit my sister in Australia and explore Thailand. Brendan proposes in front of jungle mountains and elephants (my favourite animal of all time). I said yes. 🐘❤️
- Wedding Date: Sept 8th 2018 💍
