more @maybelline promo + bts🕺🏾💋 growing up as a someone with darker skin in a community that rewarded you on your proximity to lightness, i was forced to believe i would never be considered beautiful. ik for many people this doesn’t really matter, but to be platformed as the antithesis of younger me’s insecurities i truly think there is no greater honor. it’s not only a win for myself, but to all the black girls who were told they were too dark to shine bright🌟 also huge thank you to the cast + crew who made this the absolute best set i’ve ever been on, and for allowing me to be silly + great💋
