Stillness before Summer

The sun lingers,
not in a rush—
just soft above the trees.

Shadows stretch but stay gentle,
like everything’s taking its time.

No flowers bloom,
no leaves fall—
just the hush
of the world exhaling.

So, I originally made this video for @omgadrian ’s Instagram giveaway

But the more I worked on this project the more I wanted it to actually be an even more detailed series of short films based on stories in shot in areas throughout my hometown.

There’s a lot of shots I have that couldn’t fit into 90 seconds, so take this as a trailer into the series of the episodes i’ll be shooting 🎬

If anyone would like to be apart of the process, i’d love to have as many people as possible to either be in the film or help with shooting. If you’d like to be apart just DM me and we can go over details ⭐️

Special thanks to the people who helped with this trailer, truly appreciate y’all 🤞🏾

This post is dedicated to the gifted hands of my ancestors! 🥰🤲🏾 Happy BHM ✊🏾

I got my hair done at Aminata’s shop on 125th in Harlem. My stylist definitely has some miracle hands. I wanted to grow out my pixie cut 🫤 I had 2 inches of hair SHE DID THAT!
