London based actor @_itsjackjones giving face in front of my #leicamonochrom - a camera with no colour filter array (a microscopic grid of colour filters placed over a camera’s sensor). It captures pure luminance - how light or dark something is without any colour data. It remains my favourite camera for photographing people - clean and simple. #blackandwhiteportraitphotography #bnwportraits #leicaportrait

One week later, still riding that 26.2-mile high. London, you were epic.

LONDON RECAP

First and foremost, I want to say a huge thank you to @theforwardtrust. It’s been an honour to represent this incredible charity once again - our third run together since losing my dad. I have nothing but love and respect for everything you do. I’ll continue to support, raise awareness, and fundraise for as long as I can. I’m truly proud to be part of this mission.

To everyone who donated: thank you from the bottom of my heart. Together, we raised an incredible £3,265 (not including Gift Aid) - and every single pound means so much. Your generosity and support are beyond appreciated. You’ve made a real difference, and I’m so grateful to each and every one of you who clicked that link and gave.

Now, onto the race…

London, you chewed me up and spat me out on Sunday! I came into the marathon off the back of a strong 16-week training block, clocking some great times and feeling physically and mentally prepared. But the reality is, the heat hit hard, and at one point my vision blurred - factors that made the day tougher than expected. Still, I know I’m more than capable of running a sub-3 marathon. Sunday just wasn’t my day. I am gutted. That’s the bittersweet beauty of running - it’s unpredictable. You can do everything right in training, and still face challenges on the day. But what matters most is finishing, and I’m proud to have crossed the line in 3:30. More importantly, I ran for a cause that means everything to me. Mission accomplished: awareness raised, and vital funds collected. London - I’m not done with you yet. I’ll be back to tackle this beast again! I’ve got more races lined up this year and next, and I’m already looking forward to getting back into training and chasing what I know I’m capable of. Finally, thank you to everyone who reached out, messaged, or followed along during this journey. Your support has meant the world.

Much love,
Jack x
