“La Casa de Lydia” by Eileen Ruth Sánchez, SOLD at Coquí Club con Neighbors Studio @neighborsstudio__ @gonzos.cocktails 🇵🇷 A great night surrounded by latine talent and local community 🫶

La casa de Lydia - tucked away en los montes de Añasco, Puerto Rico, a bright pink casita with a cool rusty car that still runs. Lydia, who cared for my mother as a child, was so loving and warm. This painting is based on a photo I took during my second trip to la isla in my late teens, where I finally met the woman I had heard all about. Although Lydia was sick and on bedrest, she still had the biggest smile. Lydia passed later that year and now rests peacefully. In honor of her pink casita, I started this painting a few years ago and revisited and finished it for the exhibition.

It warms my heart when people come up to me and say they love the painting because it reminds them of their family’s homes en Puerto Rico, pointing out details like the bright house colors, the windows, and the old car. Thank you for all the love and support 💗

Sometimes the unexpected plans turn into the best memories. ❤️🎨

Got to show some love at my little sister’s best friend’s art show and when I say best friend, I mean since they were kids best friend. Seeing her talent on display and watching her have her moment was seriously dope. So proud of her! 🙌🏽

Even better, my son came along, enjoyed the art, and left a little positivity of his own behind. 🫶🏽

Good art, good energy, proud moments. Nights like this hit different.

On Valentine’s Day, some of the most beautiful women joined me at @kinhouse.co in New York City to learn a few of my go-to techniques for applying makeup. I demonstrated what I was doing, explained why I did things that way, empowered the women to apply the technique themselves and then walked around and made sure things were adapted enough for everyone. Thank you everyone who made it out.

Cheers to doing things that excite you and cheers to already creating my next event! 🫶🏼
