I’m extremely proud of all of the graduates and students in these photos. Seeing them graduate this week was such a pleasure.

I think it’s beautiful that my role allowed me to experience so much with each of them. And maybe I just feel old but over the years I’ve noticed the age gap. I remember meeting a lot of them at just 18 or 19. And then suddenly I was listening to them talk about their 21st birthday. Then there’s all these moments and firsts. I got to see them in their first campus job, their first time being a Peer Leader for UNIV. I witnessed WAY too many floods with Kevin specifically. And then the unfortunate first heartbreaks that we’re processed at my desk. I witnessed them registering to vote and then casting a vote for the first time. And don’t forget our first global pandemic. 🥴

And now they are off in a new and exciting direction. Off to begin their nursing career. Off to study further and become an anesthesiologist, a podiatrist, a doctor and so much more.

I said that I would also talk about the good that came from my job. And the good came from all of the faces in these photos. Honestly, I wanted to quit my job mid pandemic and walk away but showing up to work and getting to work with them kept me going. They filled everyday, every meeting and moment with so much laughter and hope.

I feel so lucky and thankful that I got the chance to meet and work with such wonderful students like these. And now the world is even more lucky to have them in a different capacity.

🎓Congratulations Grads!
(Sorry for crying in front of your parents 🥴)
