Decently high intent pen for @_jake.mo (McDaniel College 2030) today! He ran it up to 85 sitting 82-84 with command of all his pitches.

Jake and I first started work together 3 weeks ago, where his command heavily struggled and lacked feel for his mechanism in the throw.

We focused our attention on the upper body first, emphasizing elongating the arm path so he can feel the “slingshot” effect that his body likes. Coupled with this, we turned the gloveside into a “top-down” feel as opposed to a “rip & rotate” feel.

Our focus much of last bullpen was feeling ourselves stay loaded onto a stacked backside to avoid early extension of the back leg. This feel helped his pelvis snap later and allowed for better command, as well as the velocity ticking up.

Still lots of strides to be made but I’m proud of his hard work this far!

Man, I don’t even know where to start. First off, I want to recognize how far I’ve come with this group of boys. We started this in 7th grade, and all of you became my brothers over the years as we grew together. Although this season ended sour and not the way I ever imagined, I couldn’t be more grateful for these last two weeks. All of you seniors, and really all of my teammates, embraced me in a role that I never imagined having. I truly felt every single one of you behind me, and there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for any of you. I’d truly go out there and die for every single one of you.

I would never regret anything about how we played because we truly left it all out on the field, and I gave my all for every single one of you even though we didn’t meet our goals. I wish we could’ve ended on a higher note, but that’s the thing about baseball — the imperfections are what drives us all and keep us connected through the willingness to try and be perfect.

With all that being said, you are all my brothers, and we’ve created memories that I’ll cherish for a lifetime. I love every single one of you like brothers, and there aren’t any other guys I would’ve wanted to play with. I’d like to thank all of you seniors because you all mean so much to me, and I wish every single one of you the best in the future.#thankyouseniors❤️#lastride🔜#robbie
