After the first full year of research and development it’s has been truly special to display a part of this work for the first time, together with @lccbaphoto and @lcclondon

I would like to sincerely thank Peter Ainsworth and @krasimirabutseva for their continued support of my work. “I feel really lucky to have had the opportunity to design the publication for my degree show, Movements towards the Self, Movements towards History, alongside Jingyao Jia, with coordination by Lalu Delbracio and printing by F E Burman Ltd.

Working on this project gave me the chance to dive deeper into print — from layouts and typography to paper choices and production. It revealed the importance of the tactile, physical aspects of publishing.

Eeshhhh - it feels like forever since I just said hey guys this is what I’ve been doing aside from being in the darkroom. The honesty is, I have literally been living, sleeping, eating and dancing in the darkroom. I could explain how the darkroom space genuinely illuminates my world. Seeing all my favourite people in the my favourite spaces even when things do seem dark and scary. I’m so grateful - for my family, my friends and most importantly myself. I feel like every year I tell myself, this has been the hardest year of my adult life so far. But this one probably and definitely taken first place.

Losing a parent, is something I cannot explain. And if you’re unfortunate to know the feeling, then you can understand the weird state it will leave you in. Grief period, isn’t a linear nor cohesive experience, it’s so fucking messy, and within the mess there is more mess, but there’s also joy, fun, humanity.

My final project for uni, ‘Love Letters 2 Da Mandem, was an ode to friendship, community and the darkroom space and how it holds a a very special and intimate place in my spatial environment. through my archives taken from 2019 to present day, I printed 5x7 prints of friends, locations and my friends corresponding love letters. The turn out was amazing, and was honoured to have my mentors, lecturers, family and friends attend my graduation show.

Is this post just an excuse to give you lot an update in my life??? Yes. I feel like since my dads passing I’ve been just working and chopping the shittt out of 2025. Cah work affi get done regardless of the tears. But if you’re here, if you’ve lent a shoulder or just left me a really nice comment recently. Thank you. Kindness truly does go a long way - and it’s recognised whole heartedly.

I really do love what I do, and I know you lot do too. So I’m going to keep doing me so I can document y’all authentically and beautifully selves.

And remember.
Stay hydrated.
Be kind.
And open your eyes.
