I’ve never felt so blessed, and my bday it’s not even my birthday yet. God knows how much I love my people and it meant the world to be in a room with a few of my favorite girls. I am so blessed to know them and to be loved by them. Each of them were such a beautiful blessing yesterday in their own way. Starting w/ @heyborley who offered to chauffeur me around and was A1 with all the bday footage and bday vibes. To my friends making sure they were early to secure our reservation @atarracreations @soul_dancerjewls22 @itscandaceharper @oma.maven @_jassmith_ to beautiful flowers from my best friend @c_my_bella then the most gorgeous gold balloons that spelled DRË from my sis @kenekola (I’ve never had gold balloons before FANCY) lol , to beautiful flowers and gifts from my sisters of life @bnsummerlin @rassanridley to all the love in the room and friends that showed up for me @mari_poppinzz @najahkwasi__ @thewendcollective @hallejosey
My cup is full and runs over so I can pour back on to y’all. Love all of you!

A moment of Grace during a week of Chaos:
These two have been together everyday of their lives. Until Monday when they were both admitted to the hospital for what we would later find out to be a really bad case of the flu. Flu + sickle cell = the Scariest week of my life. We will release more details later but we just wanted to share that both kids have been in the hospital since Monday. My daughter was in ICU for three days. The only time they have seen each other was over facetime. Don't let this picture fool you. These two have gone through a storm and we are not out of it yet. These moments of them talking on the phone are so special. Even when they are apart they have a connection like I've never seen. Please, pray for healing. We should be going home soon. Huge thanks for our family and community for their support and prayers. We love you so much.

what started out as a group of ppl in college telling each other we were getting together to study (I don’t think I ever brought a single book) ended up being games of dominoes, countless music videos, tv shows & movies watched & discussed in great detail, endless debates, late night meals, a wedding, a funeral, godchildren, some of the biggest laughs some of the toughest tears. Everyone in this picture makes my life exponentially better & I don’t deserve them but I’m grateful for these ppl. To the Study Party! Preciate y’all pulling up on ya boy this weekend. Thank y’all for always having my back & never letting a bad haircut or a trash opinion go unchecked! Hahahah love y’all dearly. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
