It was a pleasure having Jax in town for a couples days. We spent 2 days refining small details on his grip, alignment and began working on blocking transition. As a starting offensive tackle, I wanted him to learn how to block and utilize his size, length and blocking experience to his advantage. Even though he is a free release snapper, adding blocking ability to his toolbox, will only help him in recruiting. His size and athleticism alone will get the attention of coaches but as a solid, blocking snapper, this will raise his stock. With his tall and long frame, we really focused on his leverage and footwork. I want him to distinguish the difference between a kick slide technique used as a tackle to more of a balanced technique for snapping. In one session alone, he was able to adapt to blocking transition very well. As he continues to refine his snap, add some more velocity, be fluid and confident in blocking, I believe he will be a top snapper in the 2028 class.

Thank you to Jax and his family for making the trip from Tennessee to Indiana. It was great having him here and love seeing his improvement over the past 6 months. Keep going!
