Synopsis

My Brother’s Keeper is a grounded crime drama about family, consequence, and the moment a man is forced to decide what kind of brother — and what kind of man — he’s going to be.

After years away, Vincent returns to Oakland carrying the weight of everything — and everyone — he left behind. His younger brother Byron grew up in the aftermath of their father’s death, navigating a world where survival often blurs the line between right and wrong. What began as small, seemingly harmless choices gradually pulls Byron deeper into a life he never fully chose.

Now entangled with a calculated neighborhood operator and a crew that moves with quiet precision, Byron finds himself caught in something far more serious than he anticipated. When a routine job begins to feel off, one decision shifts everything — setting off a chain of consequences that ripple far beyond a single night.

As tensions rise and loyalties are tested, Vincent is pulled back into a world he thought he escaped. What he finds forces him to confront not only the people responsible, but the role he may have played in how things turned out.
With pressure closing in from all sides, both brothers are faced with choices that can’t be undone — and the reality that some decisions don’t just change your life… they define it.

In a world where violence feels inevitable, My Brother’s Keeper asks a simple question: when the moment comes, do you repeat the cycle — or break it?
