I’ve spent my career working alongside neighbors across Columbus, listening, solving problems, and fighting for solutions that actually meet people where they are which is why I’m asking you today to go to the polls and vote Yes on Issue 5.

Issue 5 will:
• Create a community crisis response system that will enhance 911 calls for non-violent crises pertaining to behavioral health, wellness checks, homelessness, and others by dispatching a team of trained non-police responders, including clinicians, social workers, peer supporters, and EMTs;
• Reduce violence and save lives all while not raising taxes;
• Improve health and safety outcomes for people in crisis by providing the appropriate care response;
• Ensure all Columbus residents feel safe when asking for help.

If you haven’t voted yet, there’s still time. Make a plan, check your polling location, and get to the polls.

Bring a friend, check in on a neighbor, and make sure your voice is heard.

We all deserve a city that works for everyone and that starts with showing up.

Let’s do this, Columbus. 💜🧡

This week marks my first full year practicing law.😮‍💨

This has been one of the most challenging and rewarding years of my life. From long nights to steep learning curves, from moments of doubt to moments of growth, every challenge has shaped me into a stronger advocate and a better person.

I want to thank my colleagues, mentors, friends, and family who have poured into me this past year. Your support, guidance, and encouragement made this year possible.

Most importantly, I am grateful to my parents, whose love and example inspire me every single day.

Year one is complete, but I’m just getting started. Looking forward to year 2. 💫🫱🏼‍🫲🏽

Hear from some of our Young Professionals (YPs) on what elevation means to them! Elevation is all about growth, empowerment, and reaching new heights in both personal and professional journeys. It’s the spark that ignites ambition and drives us to strive for excellence.

We want to hear from you too! Comment below and share what elevation means to you!

Last night was impactful and necessary!

We learned 3 things in our discussion:
1. Growth is a journey and we can make small steps in the right direction everyday with the things we have control over. Our advice: take a holistic approach to healing, once you realize you have capacity to change and be different the more you are willing to take chances with battles that seem a little harder.

2. Black people come in all shapes, sizes, colors, cultures and forms. We have to extend love to everyone! God taught us that to love God is to love ourselves and those around us. Become rooted in something greater than you because when the going gets tough, you’ll need THAT inspiration in your life to pull you back to the right track you were headed down.

3. It is an absolute must that we come together as a community! We need each other to lead a movement and it’s event like Conscious Conversations that bring together like-minded individuals in Columbus who have support in rewriting our narrative!

There is more to our events than simply booking a venue and partying. Our event planning team put in long months, days, and hours to deliver well executed event experiences. Team work makes the dream work and we are nothing without them!…DM us if you want to volunteer for any upcoming events.
