The most beautifully busy week. Kicking off last weekend with dinner and time with my parents, Team Goodwin Godchildren fun- including a beautiful beach catch up day, dance recital, and a pizza dinner. Then straight to NYC for a few days of perfect weather, Knicks excitement, lots of steps, and flight delays. Sweet summertime. ❤️

Run (pun intended 😉) don’t walk to your nearest location.

Daily dose of rockstar inspiration 💪 Today my new friend Amy finished @shetrissprint Ramblin Rose Chapel Hill. Amy is legally blind — she can barely make out the black line in the pool to follow …except there *IS* no black line in the pool at this particular @rexwellnesscenters 😱 (suggest fixing this next time you redo the surface 😘) No matter, she swam with her head out of the water so she would run into the wall 😱 She skipped the bike since there was no tandem available, then walked the 2mi run holding a short rope. Holding the other end was my college roommate @elspitz1 💚
.
It was so heartwarming to return as a spectator to Ramblin Rose 10 YEARS AFTER I thought it was my “one last race.” Watching women of all different ages, races, and sizes being BRAVE and cheering each other on…it’s just really, really special 🥹 And always so great to hear my dear friend @_jen.cox_ announcing on the mic 🎤 and cheering the triathletes in 🎉🎉
.
Please take a moment today to appreciate your sight and all the CONVENIENCE and beauty that affords you daily. And then go out and BE BRAVE like Amy!! 💚💜💪
