Closing a chapter

Softball has been the best thing to ever happen to me. It’s been that consistent outlet that’s brought me amazing friends and coaches. It’s pushed me in ways I never thought possible. It’s made me cry tears of all the emotions. And it’s made me the person I am today. I want to thank Coach James for believing in me, allowing me to shine in this sport. I want to thank Coach Tommy for being the best hitting coach I could ask for, who reminds me how amazing I am and pushing me to my full potential. I want to thank all the teammates who’ve made these years the best of my life and my family for always supporting me, especially my grandma who was able to make almost every single tournament. And lastly I want to thank my dad. My dad is the strongest, silliest, most gentle, and loving person who I was so lucky to spend my last season being coached by. Dad, thank you for all the laughs and deep talks and support but also just being there for me no matter what (oh and for the countless times you had to rub out my calf and help fix my injuries). You will forever be my best friend and the person I look up to. Thank you softball.
