Tonight felt full circle.
Having our alumni come home for our 10th anniversary was emotional in every possible way. These dancers are not just part of MDC’s past … they are proof of what has been built here, what has been rooted here, and what continues to grow long after they leave the studio walls.
And standing with them tonight is our Class of 2026… officially alumni now too.
Watching generations of MDC dancers together in one photo is the kind of moment you dream about when you open a studio. It is legacy. It is family. It is everything.
Thank you to every alumni who came home tonight. You will always have a place here. Once MDC, always MDC. 💙

10 years since we lost you dad. I remember the morning you passed in hospice at home very clearly. A sad day, but forever grateful it was at home and not in a hospital. We love you and I know you are looking down on us. Im forever grateful for the 14 years we spent together. Love you dad

Today is May 12, 2026. Exactly 10 years since @patcram , Patrice Jean Cramer, took his last breath in the arms of his children and his wife. Me. Ten years has been a lifetime, but I remember every moment of those last days. Words said and unsaid. Touches. Tears. Reliving past moments and laughing as we shared stories that we hoped you could hear. In ten years the heart break doesn’t go away. But what has changed- instead of only sadness I see all the beauty in your children , Patrice. They carry on your spirit and humor and passion and integrity. They are smart and funny and totally imperfectly human. They carry your anxiety and worries, But even that is beautiful. They have so much in them that is YOU. I carry so much in ME, that is you. I say things then laugh and realize it was one or inside jokes. I look with awe at our children and know you are so proud too. Somewhere. I’m so sad that you are not here to witness them with me. To guide them. But they are nonetheless guided by you. Ten years ago was devastation. Today there is pain but so much beauty, too. Ironically, we moved yesterday. Never a fun feat. I need you to tell me where to put the dishes in the new kitchen. To get goofy when we get overtired and collapse into laughter at the ridiculousness of life. You always reminded me to be in the now. And now, right at this moment, ten years after we held you for the last time, I am in the now of grief and also so much gratitude that we met. Had babies. Had ups and downs. And had love. So. Much. Love. I love you forever Mon Belle. My words are not enough. But know that we never forget you.

Not the life I dreamed of, but so grateful for all the pain, the lessons and the people in it.
