Super long Birthday Post incoming:

I dedicate this birthday to my tribe. I'm not really a birthday person. Usually it feels pointless to celebrate because nothing actually happens. You don't actually feel different and things don't change because of a number or a specific day.

Three years ago, one of my favourite people, my Unc Gerry, passed away on my birthday and suddenly the day became a constant reminder of what I lost. Since his passing, life has been a constant uphill battle, dealing with one crisis after another. It has felt like with every major win, a greater struggle or loss would follow.

People keep calling me strong but I can't take the credit. I like to tell people "it's the power of God.... and antidepressants 😅" but it's especially due to the wonderful support system I have had in friends and family. I love my Tribe. I have been bolstered by the people who show up when I am down and remind me of my value and purpose when the path is unclear.

This birthday feels different, because it is different. This past year has been one of growth, and understanding of self and the human condition. Doors have closed and others have opened. People and things come and they go. I have experienced so many unexpected difficult moments and decisions which have consistently brought me closer to God and who he needs me to be. At any moment of self doubt, my tribe has been there to remind me of what truly matters. That's why I want to thank everyone who has showed up in big ways and small. The kind words, big gestures or little reminders have given me strength to keep being who I am called to be; the unapologetic bubbly burst of love and joy I believe the world needs :)

❤️❤️❤️ THANK YOUUUU TRIBE! ❤️❤️❤️
