WE ARE SOOOO BACKKK

might have kinda forgotten about this account but that’s okay because we are back in action with a little grill out bday celebration night for @christian.waegelin22 !!

We went CRAZY …
Forgot to take a pic butttt started with some apps/ cheese board: port cheddar cheese, caramelized onion cheddar cheese, banana pepper jack cheese, rye sourdough crackers, olives, tremoços (lupini beans), beef prosciutto, chicken apple sausage, chouriço, grilled sourdough bread and LAMB CHOPS 🤤

The grill master @christian.waegelin22 seared up pure magic with herby lamp chops, Greek seasoned chicken, picanha straight from a local butcher, garlic shrimp, and the sausages. And a homemade CHIMICHURRI sauce oh myyyy

Sides were: Greek salad, grilled bell peppers, roasted cauliflower/ broccoli/ carrot medley, asparagus, and bacon fat roasted potatoes

11 summers of paddle boarding aquatic therapy = pure magic.

11 summers of lake therapy.
9 summers of paddle boarding camp.
48 weekly sessions.
9 therapists.
3 disciplines.
Countless smiles, memories, laughs, proud moments, and pure joy.

As another season wraps up, I’m filled with immense gratitude for everyone who makes this dream a reality. After 11 summers and 19 paddle boarding camps, I’m still in awe of these incredible kiddos. They show up with grit, determination, a little sass, and a whole lot of heart—whether they’re paddling sitting, kneeling, standing, with help or completely on their own.

We start each summer with a mix of new and returning paddle boarders—and end with confidence, strength, balance, coordination, and endurance.

This summer brought new camp leaders and therapists to the water. Paddle boarding aquatic therapy is so much fun—and so much work. Working with children with disabilities on the lake is not for the faint of heart, but the return is unmatched. 🌊

To my amazing team—Kristen, Lily, Sarah, Jordan, Regan, Elaina, Mattea, Chloe, Sam, Katie, and Joanna—thank you for sharing your passion for paddle boarding, outdoor therapy, and most importantly, the children.

Thank you to Kate and Aliya for holding it all together on the admin side. Patricia and our therapy aides—thank you for being ready for anything and everything. Thanks to the countless students and volunteers for being so great. And to Noreen and Bryan—THANKS for ALWAYS supporting us.

To the families—thank you for sharing your children with us. And to the kids—you paddle beyond limits every time you step onto that board and in life. 🏄‍♀️

This is what inclusion looks like. This is why we do what we do. This is what pediatric PT dreams are made of.

Head to @tender_ones to see all the smiles from this summer on the lake!
