Today’s SWE-Ster Saturday shout out goes to… Jordan Ropp! Jordan is an engineering management major here at S&T, where she has served as SWE’s vice president external in the past! 👷‍♀️ Jordan is also involved in Student Council, ASUM, and MSAT, being super involved with campus life! 🎓 When asked why she loves SWE, Jordan told us, “I love how welcoming the girls are and also how many professional opportunities we have nationally and locally.“ We could not agree more! 🥰 Show @_jordanropp some love down below! 💜 #engineeringmanagement #womeninengineering #womeninspiringwomen #stemgirls #swe #societyofwomenengineers #stemoutreach #stemforkids #engineering #girlsinscience

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN IN ENGINEERING DAY!!! 💗 Today, on International Women in Engineering Day (June 23), we celebrate the incredible contributions of women engineers around the world — past, present, and future. Originally launched in the UK by the Women’s Engineering Society in 2014, this day has grown into a global movement highlighting the achievements of women in a traditionally male-dominated field. Despite representing only about 16–20% of the engineering workforce in most countries, women continue to break barriers, innovate, and inspire across disciplines. From leading space missions to advancing clean energy and sustainable design, their impact is undeniable. This day also reminds us of trailblazers who laid the foundation for generations of women in STEM. Let’s use this opportunity not only to celebrate these achievements but also to reaffirm our commitment to inclusion, support, and opportunity for all in engineering across the globe. Take a look at the women and their majors above, each with their respective fields, inspiring future engineers to come! Put your engineering major in the comments below! 👷‍♀️ #INWED #WomenInEngineering #STEM #DiversityInSTEM #EngineeringExcellence #mst #swe #womeninspiringwomen

A very late 2024 wrapped, brought to you by: Wellbutrin \ Taylor Swift group chat takes on Noah Kahan and the Rockies \ RenFaire “Did you just huzzah without me?!!!” -Jordan \ ”It’s the Arch!!!” - me every single time I drive into the city \ matching Christmas jammies with the niece and nephews \ Raisin being obsessed with other Bernese Mountain Dogs \ Not pictured: a septoplasty, lots of panic attacks and a depression spiral leading up to the anxiety diagnosis/medication (I’m doing so good now tho!), learning I have chronic vestibular migraines and finding out how magical the right medicine can be (who knew constant headaches and dizziness wasn’t normal?), and months of PT bc apparently I never learned how to walk right 🤷🏼‍♀️
