The @proofofconcept.show exhibition has come to an end — and the response has been amazing! Really grateful for the opportunity to show my work at @aramgalleryldn alongside a group of talented designers in a beautiful space. The project — Mould in Flux Explores how glass reacts to heat and wood over time. Instead of trying to control the material, it’s about letting the process shape each piece — creating something unique in every glass blowing. Each object becomes part of its own timeline. The Torus Vase has been in Aram’s shop, and I’m so happy with the feedback and sales. Big thanks to @designwanted and @iconeye for featuring the show, and to everyone who came by — the team, curators, and everyone involved in #proofofconcept3 Photos by @markslater_photography

Mould by @proofofconcept.show Mould explores the craft of moulding across materials, uncovering the potential within each stage of casting, forming and finishing. The exhibition explores how a mould shapes not only form, but also the structure, surface and character of an object. Presented as part of Proof of Concept at @aramgalleryldn a platform bringing together experimental works, prototypes and self-initiated projects that exist between idea and production to reveal the processes that underpin contemporary design practice. Sand casting relies on tacit knowledge: timber patterns pressed into green sand, runners and risers carved to guide molten gunmetal bronze. Flow, cooling and shrinkage are anticipated in advance, with the mould designed to account for metal’s movement.
