⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING⚠️ DETENTION, DEPORTATION & LOSS OF FREEDOM A few years ago, my old friend Reggie was living his life with his freedom in front of him. I got to know Reggie as a bright, smart, intelligent and genuinely caring person. He had dreams, goals and so much potential ahead of him and most importantly, he has a beautiful son who he loves dearly that he misses out on seeing grow up. πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘¦β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή Unfortunately, Reggie got caught up with the wrong crowd and made decisions that ultimately changed the direction of his life. πŸ”ͺπŸ’ŠπŸ₯· Today, he finds himself in the Brisbane Immigration Detention Centre, facing the possibility of deportation and living with a reality that nobody should take lightly. Reggie has allowed me to share this video because he wants his story to be a lesson and a warning to the youth. He wants young people to see what can happen when you make the wrong choices, follow the wrong people or get caught up in things that can take away your freedom. πŸš“β›“οΈ This isn't about judging Reggie. It's about learning from his story. YOU CAN make a different choice. YOU CAN walk away. YOU CAN change your circle. YOU CAN protect your future. THIS IS FOR OUR YOUTH & THE NEXT GENERATION β¬†οΈπŸŒπŸ‘« I have been sitting on this thought πŸ’­ since I was in Highschool and after seeing so much NEWS surrounding our youth today I felt in my heart it was time for me to reveal who I really am and what I stand for ✊️ The past few weeks I was able to connect with some of our youth and speak about what struggles they are facing in their life and what changes they would like to see.. so my next project is BIGGER than me!! I wanna be someone who creates a legacy and leave a positive change behind and I'm doing this for the kids to help them understand that whatever challenges that they face in life that they are not alone. Creating a safe space for the youth to have an outlet, a voice, a movement and a purpose in their life. I have survived these struggles and I am living proof that you can overcome anything that life throws at you. I used to train by myself, I was a loner, I used to run the oval until it got to the point where the oval would become my bestfriend. My outlet is boxing and I always stood alone. Life ain't easy, it never was for me but I keep trying every day that I wake up. My tattoo on my neck is more than just a tattoo, it represents who I am. "Even when you drop you can rise and FIGHT AGAIN". πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š Life has humbled me, all my experiences has led me here. I wish I had someone that was able to create this for me and not me feeling all alone. So here I am.... creating this for the next generation and that is YOU!! This isn't about winning or losing - there's only lessons to be learnt!! This week on Wednesday we had the privilege of being able to serve those in our community that are less fortuate alongside our sponsor @randysbarberclub and our chosen charity for "RISE ABOVE THE STREETS" Fight Night @mercifulservantsau .πŸ«΄πŸ’š It was truly a humbling experience that we were blessed to be apart of. It's the small acts of kindness that can make the biggest difference in someone's life and when we all stand together and work together we can make a bigger difference in this world we live in. S🌏❀️ Each and every Wednesday, Merciful Servants as well as Randy's Barber Club and other volunteers serve the homeless or those in need by offering a BBQ, Free hair cuts, clothes and more on the corner of Wembley Rd & Ewing Rd at Coffee On Wembley β˜•οΈ . No one deserves to feel like they don't have a helping hand in times of struggle or feel ashamed to go and ask for help. There is no judgments at all. ALL IS WELCOME! We pray that the Lord blesses all the people who are struggling and may they find warmth and comfort within him as well. πŸ™β€οΈ Thank you to everyone in the Phoenix Fight Club team who made the effort to come out and help out on the night.
