A year flies by. 🎶 A year ago today, MatchMyFreq Society had its 1st Open Deck at @therosenyc. What started as something I figured I’d do for fun has turned into quite the journey. Sooo many good memories, new friends, and so many people I’m glad MMF brought into my life. I love that MMF can be a starting point for someone new to DJing, a place to discover something new, or simply somewhere to come through, meet people, and hang out. We’re all on different wavelengths, but somehow we still end up on the same frequency. 🔊 Thank you to everyone who has shown up, supported, played, collaborated, and helped make MMF Society what it is. Here’s to more sounds, more connections, and whatever comes next! Come celebrate 1 year with us on October 5th. 6PM-12AM | Free entry - link in bio! 🗣 FYI: IG only allows 20 tags 😪 💜 - Shirley @shirlz.exe #wherefrequenciesalign #MatchMyFreq #opendecks #dj #nycevents

Still thinking about this one🖤 Big thank you to @technotribeworldwide for having me close out the night. Jerseyyy, such a fun crowd! Growing up in Jersey and spending a lot of my early party days in Newark’s Ironbound section, the music I grew up around definitely shaped my taste. Brazilian and Portuguese influences, Spanish vocals, rap, some rock/alt nostalgia honestly, a little bit of everything I grew up loving finds its way into my sets. I love those moments where I hear something familiar and think, “OH, I know this!” just in a completely different world. That’s what makes hard techno fun for me! 😊 Thank you so much to everyone who came out, danced, showed love, and made this closing set sooo much fun! Till next time. 🫶 📍: @undergroundvbc 🎥: @precursormentality & @_jseo5_ #hardtechno #jersey #rave #dj #schranz 😈🖤🎶 Jersey Shenanigans 😂 these guys were by me a majority of my set, so much fun! tag them if you know them lmao Victory Lap Schranz x Back in Time ⛓️🖤 #schranz #fyp Techno Shake 🤪 Baile de Popozao 🇧🇷🎶🖤 #Brazil #hardtechno Fist pumps & jumps 💥 🖤🖤🖤 I love this version of Berghain by @808.oguz 🥾🖤😈 Another hard track with 🇧🇷 vocals, Muita 🎶 Hello but Schranz version 🥰⛓️🖤 The venue had to end my set a lil earlier by a few mins & I didn't expect the crowd to react like this, thank you 🫶🫶🫶

We have a ridiculously packed weekend planned for you! 👀 FRIDAY Cocktails & Karaoke is back! Sign up for FREE and show you can sing on our stage (people who can’t sing so well are welcome too). Closing out the night is @daypartyrecords with REFLEKTION, a dance party featuring deep house, tech, bounce, and a custom-built mirrored DJ facade. SATURDAY During the day, sommelier Burley Tuggle presents a special rosé wine tasting to celebrate Newark Fashion Month. In the early evening, @inthewake.tv’s Black House Black Joy docuseries continues with episodes 5 & 6, which explore the role military veterans played in Newark’s house culture, and an oral history of the legendary Club Zanzibar. For the 7 PM show, resident songstress @sophiasdaughter_ returns with a special edition of her monthly show lamenting the end of summer and experimenting with new material. Closing out the weekend is OLDE HEADZ, a NO COVER celebration of the sights and sounds of early 2000s hip-hop. Bring your FUBU jacket. More information and RSVP at NewarkCultureClub.com.

Finally got to play this banger to a crowd!!! DJing can be awkward, sometimes you are playing to an empty or small dance floor. And when it's full, it might not be the appropriate event or time to play the song. Thank you @like_odyssey @daypartyrecords for giving me the space to accomplish this. Big thank you @houndcircus , @the_ziski & @_jseo5_ for all your help that night with the gear and my anxiety. If you haven't been to a Day Party Records event, you need to! Next one is 9/25, link in their bio!! #djlife #girldj #housemusicdj #djlifestyle #jerseycity

Introducing the REFLEKTION facade. Specially built for our upcoming event on September 25th at the Newark Culture Club! As the lights hit the booth, the crowd sees themselves reflected back mid-dance, becoming part of the visual as much as the music. REFLEKTION is about closing that gap between the DJ and the dance floor, letting the room see its own energy bounce right back at it 🪞 Get your tickets now via the link in our bio or at newarkcultureclub.com 🎟️ #edm #newarknj #housemusic #njevents #djbooth
