"On a Saturday night in October, the only place for a fashionista is a basement in West Philly. The 2026 Dead Birds Fashion Show runway starts in the backyard and snakes down a staircase into the house venue, packed wall-to-wall with guests dressed in the required all-black dress code. The monochromia is a perfect canvas for the four designers showing their collections: Jaguar Untamed (@jaguaruntamed), Corasclos3t (@corasclos3t), juniper (@_juni.per), and S!NO (@sinoo0.0).

There is no set theme for the evening, but one becomes apparent nonetheless: the next generation of the fashion-forward is tired of waiting, and they are making names for themselves outside of the algorithm-determined boxes of the industry."
