We’ve known each other since 2004, which means we’ve been best friends for 22 years now. We got married on January 12th, 13 years ago.

Summer 2010, after I asked God about my future spouse, he revealed Kahmeel to me. That’s when my perspective shifted, and I began to see her in a new light—not just as a beautiful friend, but as the love of my life. That moment taught me two things: first, that God can speak to you at any time and in any place. Second, that the love of my life was right in front of me all along.

✨How has loving each other shaped the way you create and how do you make space for each other’s gifts?

“It shapes the way we create because we not only celebrate each other’s wins but also push each other to excel. We make way for each other’s gifts because we understand the gifts that God has given us and also understand each other’s strengths and truly lean on them. As a result, you tend to forget about your weaknesses because we focus on each other rather than ourselves. We serve each other.”

Today marks 13 beautiful years of marriage, and I am filled with so much gratitude. I thank God for the precious gift of our union.
