✨ MEET THE TEACHERS — KATARINA ROBERTS ✨ We’re delighted to welcome Katarina Roberts to the Shantalliv Tap Festival faculty! 🇮🇪 And on Saturday 29th, she’ll be teaching something that is very much her thing… 🔥 FOCUS ON CLOSEWORK Advanced Fast crawls. Ball & heels. Riffs. Intricate rhythms. And feet that move FAST. 👞🔥 Closework is one of Katarina’s favourite elements of tap — and a signature of her own dancing. This advanced theme class will get right down into the detail, exploring the technique, speed, clarity and precision needed to make closework really sing. And Katarina knows a thing or two about fast feet… 🌍 2022 Junior Tap Dance World Champion 🥉 Dance World Cup 2024 Senior Tap Solo Bronze Medalist for Ireland 🇮🇪 Member of IDO Tap Team Ireland 🎓 Graduate of the Luthier Advanced Tap Program, Barcelona ⭐ ATDF Buster Brown Scholarship recipient at Tap City, New York Katarina began her tap training with Kerry Tap Ensemble before joining the Luthier Advanced Program in Barcelona in 2022. She has travelled internationally to train, perform and immerse herself in tap, attending festivals including Tap City, Stockholm Tap Festival, Tap Dance Festival UK, Luthier Tap Festival and Taptastic. She continues to train and perform with Kerry Tap Ensemble, where she is also Dance Captain and Assistant Teacher. And she somehow combines all that tapping with another passion… 🧠 Katarina has now completed her third year at the University of Aberdeen, where she is studying Neuroscience. As Advanced Tap Captain, she choreographed and led her university team to multiple competition wins. Next stop: Barcelona, where she’ll spend the coming year on internship before returning to Aberdeen to complete her Master’s in Neuroscience. 🧠 Neuroscience by day. 👞 Ridiculously fast feet whenever possible. Advanced dancers — if you love closework, you’re going to want this class. 🔥 #ShantallivTapFestival #Shantalliv #TapDance #TapFestival #TapTeacher MeetTheTeachers Closework TapCommunity @_katarina_r @drtrishm @kerrytapensemble

🇮🇪 Dance World Cup 2026 | Tap Solos Watching our dancers step onto the Dance World Cup stage wearing the Irish colours is a moment of immense pride every single year. Dance World Cup brings together some of the finest young dancers from around the world, with solo categories featuring exceptionally strong international competition. To stand alongside that calibre of talent is an achievement in itself, and to earn a world ranking is something every one of these dancers should be incredibly proud of. Behind each performance are months of commitment, resilience and determination. Every rehearsal, every correction, every challenge and every success has led to this moment, and it has been a privilege to watch these young dancers continue to grow, not only as performers, but as people. 🇮🇪 Tap Solo Results Libertango 👤 Katarina Roberts 🏅 9th in the World 🎭 Choreographer: Katarina Roberts Golden Hour 👤 Éabha Maunsell 🏅 16th in the World 🎭 Choreographer: Charles Renato Don’t Worry 👤 Evanne Kerin 🏅 17th in the World 🎭 Choreographer: Dante Lara Nobody’s Soldier 👤 Sarah Brennan 🏅 19th in the World 🎭 Choreographer: Dante Lara Consideration 👤 Mia Keane 🏅 26th in the World 🎭 Choreographers: Dr Trish Melton & Dante Lara Nine to Five 👤 Sadhbh Jacobs 🏅 35th in the World 🎭 Choreographer: Dante Lara To each of these dancers, thank you for your hard work, your trust and your commitment throughout the season. A Special Collaboration One of the highlights of our Dance World Cup journey was the opportunity to collaborate with the incredibly talented Fabio Guillelmon on Colours, our Senior Tap Dance Small Group. The routine, choreographed by Fabio, brought together Katarina, Eabha and Evanne from Cantarina Music & Dance/Kerry Tap Ensemble, alongside Fabio and Delia from Fab Tap, Switzerland. This very special international collaboration captured so much of what Dance World Cup is about, bringing dancers together through creativity, friendship and a shared love of dance. The experience became even more memorable when Fabio was crowned overall Dance World Champion in the Senior Male Solo category. An incredible and thoroughly deserved achievement! 🏆 We feel truly privileged to be working with Fabio and are so grateful for the creativity, talent and generosity he has shared with our dancers. Congratulations to Fabio, Delia, Katarina, Eabha and Evanne on a wonderful performance of Colours and a collaboration we will always treasure. 🇮🇪❤️🇨🇭 #DanceWorldCup #DWC2026 #Colours #TapDance #InternationalCollaboration TeamIreland TeamSwitzerland CantarinaMusicAndDance KerryTapEnsemble FabTap WorldChampion

Since DWC 26 is only FIVE DAYS AWAY, I’ve decided it’s time for one final post to say goodbye to DWC 25. Saying goodbye to the very sketchy village, to Burgos and to all the memories. Not forever, just for now. I can’t wait for all the memories we’re going to make in the next coming week and I wish everyone great luck! Love you all longtime 💕💕#imnotcryingyouare🤧 #dwc25 #tmbtoburgos

🇮🇪 #TapClipOfTheDay: The luck of the Irish, they say. In the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND, luck has had very little, if anything at all, to do with the amount of talent, hard work, dedication, determination, and passion we see from tap dancers there. Each individual artist puts in immense effort and time into their craft, and it has gotten them recognized and embraced… and has earned them respect the world over. I’d like for all of you to meet Gabriella Adami (@gabriellaadamidb), who is from the Irish capital, Dublin. She has been a regular face in Ireland’s tap dance scene for a while now, rubbing elbows with some of the country’s best, and making her presence known in performances and at events like the @shantalliv_tap_festival. Last year, she performed on stage with Casey Abrams (@caseybassy) to a version of Bowling For Soup’s “Stacey’s Mom!” #TapDanceAcrossTheWorldMonth #TapDanceAcrossTheWorld #IrelandTapFam #tapdance Repost from @gabriellaadamidb So I was at home on a random Sunday, I received a text message and a few hours later there I was 🤩 in one of the nicest gigs I have ever done! Thank you so much @caseybassy and @lc_presents 🫶🏼 It was such a great night in Dublin!!
