✨ 31 and still fun ✨

IMO the new year starts whenever your birthday is… Growing up, the beginning of August always felt like a new start due to my Birthday and school usually starting a week or two later.

I’ve been referring to this summer as the summer of ghosts. People I haven’t seen or spoken to in years are suddenly reappearing, things from my past that have loomed over (or “haunted” me) are finally resolving and more than ever I feel like I’m finally getting the opportunity to become me.

Not some version my parents wanted. Not some version I thought I needed to be for society. And especially not some version I idealized in my head that was actually miserable to live as.

This year, I’m leaving the medical/health and wellness space (!!!) after 12 years of working and striving toward something I realized never actually wanted- I’m free to do something different! I’m going back to school and learning how to build a life that genuinely feels like mine.

A huge thank-you to all my friends who came out to celebrate with me or wished me a happy birthday. I love you all so much, and I’m so excited for what this next year holds. 🩵

P.S. I KNOW Dracula does not fit the vibe but it has been my anthem this summer and poor @theo.does_art has had to hear it at least once a day 😂❤️ only right to put it in this post.

2025 sucked. Stressful moves, heartbreak and a ruptured Achilles all in one year. But despite it all, there was so much to be thankful for:

Reuniting with old friends and making new ones who helped me explore the island.

The best friends who continued to stay in touch, and those who traveled here to visit me.

The strangers-turned-friends who took care of me when I was unable to take care of myself.

Regaining my independence by taking my first steps 2mo post injury.

And lastly, my parents who came to spend the holidays with me ❤️

Here’s to 2026 and the end of my 20’s: I will make this year everything I deserve 🥂
