we love us some AIA Mondays🤍

Last night, we studied Colossians 3:1-4 where we learned what it means for us to be “raised” with Christ and how we are called to set our minds on “things that are above” as a result of our new identity and purpose in Him. If we have placed our faith in Jesus: our old self has died, our new life is now “hidden with Christ,” and we can joyfully look forward to the day Jesus returns because we will appear alongside Him in glory, forever and ever!

THANK YOU JESUS - for saving us, removing our shame and our guilt, nailing all our transgressions to the cross, empowering us through your Holy Spirit, and inviting us into this new resurrection life filled with joy, peace and love!

If you have any questions about God, the Bible, your sport, etc. - please reach out! We’d love to meet you and talk with you!

See y’all next week :)

Praising God for a wonderful time in the Word together 🤍 Last night, we studied Colossians 1:9-14 where we learned that God desires for us to be filled with His wisdom and the knowledge of His will! We’re called to “walk in a manner worthy of the Lord,” but we can’t do it in our own strength. We need the help of the Holy Spirit who is given to all who place their faith in Jesus!

Thank you, Lord - for qualifying us for Heaven, forgiving our sins, redeeming us back to yourself, and transferring us to the Kingdom of your beloved Son. There’s nothing better!!!

See y’all next week :)

Some people come back into your life at exactly the right moment. 🎓✨

I first met this incredible young woman 14 years ago when I was just beginning to build my portfolio. And here we are — all these years later — and she is graduating from UC Santa Barbara in just three years while competing as a student athlete in track.

Three. Years. As an athlete. Let that sink in. 🏃‍♀️💫

We spent two sessions together capturing this chapter before she closes it. First we bopped around the UCSB campus — all the corners and paths and spaces that hold the memories of everything she built and became here. Then we headed to Arroyo Burro State Beach in Santa Barbara at golden hour where the light did exactly what Santa Barbara light always does — made everything look like a painting. 🌅🌊 Next stop — Tulane University in New Orleans for grad school. She is just getting started.

Watching someone grow from a kid I photographed over a decade ago into this accomplished brilliant young woman — honestly this is the kind of session that reminds me why I have been doing this for as long as I have. 🤍

While I wasn’t able to capture every athlete who graduated, I’m glad I was able to see some. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing some for the past four years. Seeing each and everyone one pour every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears in their sport is the true embodiment of what it means to be a #Gaucho
